The Florida Archery Association
invites you to compete in the 2026 FAA
Classic 600 State Championship. The
Classic 600 is one of FAA’s premier outdoor target events and
will once again be offered as a split-site
tournament, allowing archers to compete
at either Gold Coast Archers in South
Florida or Gator
Bowmen in North Florida. Both locations
will shoot the same tournament format under FAA/NFAA rules, with
scores combined for the official tournament results. Whether you
are competing for a State Championship or simply looking for a
great day of competitive archery, we encourage archers of all
ages and equipment styles to join us.
The Classic 600 is a one-day round, giving competitors flexibility in choosing when they shoot.
Archers may:
• Shoot Saturday only
• Shoot Sunday only
• Shoot both Saturday and Sunday in different
classes
Archers choosing to compete both days must register in a different class for each day. This gives competitors the opportunity to participate with different eligible equipment setups or shooting classifications during the same championship weekend.
Please make sure you are properly registered in the appropriate class, shooting style, and age division for each round you enter.
Please arrive early enough to complete registration/check-in and receive your target assignment before shooting begins.
The Classic 600 consists of 60
scoring arrows shot at three distances.
At each distance, archers shoot: 4 ends of
5 arrows = 20 arrows
The complete round consists of: 20 arrows ×
3 distances = 60 scoring arrows
Each arrow has a maximum value of 10 points, making the maximum
possible score: 600 POINTS
The round begins at the shortest distance
for the archer’s age division and progresses to the longest
distance.
Archers are allowed 4 minutes
to shoot each 5-arrow end.
40 yards → 50 yards → 60 yards
30 yards → 40 yards → 50 yards
10 yards → 20 yards → 30
yards
The Classic 600 is shot on the 92 cm NFAA multicolor target face.
The standard target contains scoring rings from 1 through 10.
FAA/NFAA rules and the decisions of the tournament officials will govern scoring, equipment, ties, line procedures, and any other tournament matters.

Safety is the responsibility of every competitor. All archers must follow the commands of the Tournament Director, Range Officials, and Line Officials. Do not approach the targets until the range has been declared safe. Bows may only be drawn in the designated shooting area and in the direction of the targets. Unsportsmanlike or unsafe conduct may result in removal from the shooting line or tournament in accordance with applicable FAA/NFAA rules.
The FAA Classic 600 State Championship is competitive, but good sportsmanship remains an important part of the event. Please be respectful of fellow competitors, tournament officials, volunteers, and host clubs. Help us provide a safe, fair, and enjoyable tournament experience for everyone.
For additional information regarding registration, shooting divisions, tournament rules, or the Classic 600 format, please contact the Florida Archery Association or the tournament host club.
