2017 State FITA Field (Single Site Shoot)

HOSTING CLUB:  Easton - Newberry Sports Complex

RANGE LOCATION:  24820 NW 16th Ave; Newberry, FL 32669  (Easton - Newberry Sports Complex)

RANGE DIRECTIONS:  From I-75 take Exit 387 and head West on Newberry Road for about 12 miles until you reach the City of Newberry.  Take a right at the US-27 N light in Newberry.  Continue on US-27 N for about 1.5 miles and take right on the dirt road with the "Newberry Sports Complex" blue sign.  The range will be located to the left of the Easton-Newberry Sports Complex building.

SHOOTING RULES/INFORMATION:
New DRESS CODE

1. All athletes and coaches must present a professional, athletic appearance while on the field. (Torn, ripped or badly faded clothing articles are not allowed.) Clothing may be of any color.

2. No camo or blue denim (jeans) may be worn at target events. Accessories such as trim on shirts, caps, quivers, armguards, footwear, etc., are permitted to be camo. At field events, denim may be worn but camo may not be worn.

3. Shorts, skorts and skirts must not be shorter than finger tip length while standing normally.

4. Men and women are required to wear upper garments covering the front and back of the body and covering the midriff when at full draw. Women's upper garments shall have a minimum strap of 3" or sleeves. Men's upper garments shall have short or long sleeves.

5. Sport/athletic shoes are recommended to all athletes and coaches during target events. Shoes must cover the entire foot.

6. At no time will any athlete or coach wear any article bearing any image or language to be considered offensive to others.

BOW WEIGHT:  Compound bows are restricted to 60# draw weight maximum!

ARROW SIZE:  Arrows are restricted to a maximum of 9.3 mm shaft diameter. With aluminum shafts, this would include all shafts of 23 diameter except the 2317.  Shafts currently produced in the 23 size
category and legal under the 9.3 mm rule are the 2312, 2314, and 2315 (as of 1 April 2001).  Anything larger is not legal.

No electronics!

BAREBOW RECURVE:   [Unbraced bow complete with accessories must be capable of passing through a hole or ring of 12.2cm inside diameter +/- 0.5mm] (that's approximately 4.8
inches) --  No stabilizers and no draw checks (no clickers).

Starting 2015 there is a Compound Barebow division.

PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  Mailed entries should be postmarked by November 6.

LATE-REGISTRATION:  Phoned registrations through 10 November accepted for a $2 surcharge payable at shoot.   Registration at the shoot requires full late fee at registration address or at range on Saturday.

SHOOTING SCHEDULE:    Talk at 10:30, shoot at 11:00 on Saturday, talk at 8:00 shoot at 8:30 on Sunday.  We will shoot 1 24 target FITA Field round on Saturday and 1 on Sunday (12 marked and 12 unmarked each round - three arrows per target).

LUNCH:  Drinks and food will be available at the shoot.
