2013 Indoor Information - Southern Portion - Ft Lauderdale

Southeast Sectional Indoor, State Indoor, State FITA Indoor. (There are 3 other sites).

DIRECTIONS: 
From I-95 App. 3 Miles

Exit Davie Blvd. and go westbound. Cross 441 ( State Road 7 ) and continue past the first traffic light. The Clubs Gated Entrance is on the left before the light at S.W. 46 Th. Ave.
 
From University Drive App. 2 Miles
Go eastbound on Peters Road over the Turnpike overpass, the Clubs Gated Entrance is on the right just past the light at S. W. 46 Th. Ave.
 
From I - 595  App. 1.5 Miles
Exit 441 North go to second red light Davie Blvd. turn left continue past first traffic light. Clubs Gated Entrance is on the left before the light at S. W. 46 Th. Ave

PRE-REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  Mailed entries should be postmarked by March 3.

LATE-REGISTRATION:  Phoned and emailed registrations through 7 March accepted for a $2 surcharge payable at shoot.   Registration at the shoot requires full late fee at registration address or at range on Saturday.

LATE-REGISTRATION:  On site registration will have late registration fees.

SHOOTING SCHEDULE:    NFAA: Sat 8 AM,  Sat 11 AM, Sat 2 PM, Sun 8 AM, Sun 11 AM (pick two)
                                           NAA: Fri 7pm & Sat 5pm
                                            (double registrations are available i.e. shoot twice on same shooting time)

FOOD:  Clubs will be serving Breakfast and lunch during the shoot.   

ACCOMMODATIONS: 

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites 1701 N. University Drive 954-472-5600. Room rate is $99.00 (LAST YEARS RATES) for Double with Hot Breakfast, mast mention Archery Tournament.

  Mention that you are with the NFAA/FAA Archery group to receive the discounted rates.

This is tourist season in South Florida. 

CAMPING: Ft Lauderdale Archers will offer camping to anyone who has a camper or RV for a donation to the club for the weekend.

MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION:  The FAA/NAA Indoor Championship will be held Friday 7 PM and Saturday 5 PM shooting two 18 meter FITA I rounds under NAA rules:-  archers will be required to conform to NAA dress code (white, khaki or navy pants) and shooting rules for that event.

Please note the instructions below from the Director of Shooting for the Ft Lauderdale portion of our State NAA Indoor Championship on 26 and 27 February 2010.  
 
1.  All archers must be paid and ready to shoot by 7 PM on Friday evening.
 
2.  Dress code will be required.   No blue jeans.  No camo.  Slacks or skirts must be kahki, navy blue, or white.
 
3.  All arrows must be within the 9.3 mm diameter rule and must have the archers name or initials on the shaft.

NAA Requirements:

DRESS CODE:  It's simple - No blue jeans, no camo -- any color top,
white, khaki or dark blue bottoms.

BOW WEIGHT:  Compound bows are restricted to 60# draw weight maximum!

ARROW SIZE:  Arrows are restricted to a maximum of 9.3 mm shaft
diameter. With aluminum shafts, this would include all shafts of 23
diameter except the 2317.  Shafts currently produced in the 23 size
category and legal under the 9.3 mm rule are the 2312, 2314, and 2315
(as of 1 April 2001).  Anything larger is not legal.

NO ELECTRONICS!  This also means nothing electric on the bow to light up the sight.

TIME LIMIT:  2 Minutes for 3 arrows.  We will shoot AB/BA (alternate shooting first and second on
the line).

BAREBOW:   Barebow division is limited to recurve bows.  (Compound
Barebow shooters will be classified Compound-Fingers).  [Unbraced bow
complete with accessories must be capable of passing through a hole or
ring of 12.2cm inside diameter +/- 0.5mm] (that's approximately 4.8
inches) --  No stabilizers and no draw checks (no clickers).
